Wearable Smart Skin Patch Can Provide Responsive Drug Treatment

Drug delivering skin patches are not a modern invention in and of themselves. But one group is reporting to have invented a patch that can remotely monitor patients’ health metrics to adjust drug delivery in both amounts and timing. This is a major step forward for  the use of nanotechnology to combine with wearables in combating a problem that has plagued on-skin drug delivery for some time. Read the abstract for the group’s report here at Nature.com.
